Enquanto leio na paz da noite algumas colunas da Edge, detive-me recentemente na crónica de Jeff Minter, estreante na publicação.
A dada altura quando aborda a temática da reutilização de franchises antigas , define a meio do texto o tal conceito de retrogaming:
" I think what a lot of us have missed, and also what draws people to retrogaming, is not so much the old games themselves (enjoyable though playing emulations can be, in the end the only absolute best of them can stand up to the rose-tinted specs coming off in front of 50 inches of plasma) but the near-extinct format that they exemplify.
Sometimes you don't want to play a great, overarching epic; sometimes you just want a few minutes of old-school shootery goodness with accompanying high-score tauntery with your mates,(...)"
A esse conceito espero voltar mais tarde quanto a uma tentativa da sua definição, mas afigura-se-me importante colher matéria concreta sobre o tema.
